Linda DuVal and Cindy Adams were both born in Oklahoma City, OK, 16 months apart. Growing up, they were more like twins than older/younger siblings. They shared their lives from Oklahoma to Wichita, KS, to Green City, MO, to Maple Lake,, MN, going their separate ways only when Linda left for College in 1966. Here are their stories.
Linda DuVal has been an award-winning journalist and travel writer for nearly 50 years. After getting her bachelor’s degree in English, she worked for The Gazette in Colorado Springs for 32 years and has been a busy freelance writer since 2004. She also has written a novel, “The Lightkeeper,” which was published in 2023.
Cindy Adams worked as a fundraiser in Alaska for over 40 years. She started and managed two businesses, the Alaska Funding Exchange, and GrantStation. She served as CEO of both companies from the 1990s through 2024.
Ms. Adams lived in Alaska between 1972 and 2014. She then lived in NYC, the Atacama Desert in Chile, Baja, Mexico, and she is currently living in Canberra, Australia.
